When you need to make a quick measurement in scale but don’t have a
scale rule handy, this is your solution. This is not a simple ruler
graphic on the screen.
The
app is essentially a caliper, the top and bottom jaws can be freely
dragged while the distance between them is constantly updated in the
middle. White areas are being measured, black areas are not. You can
switch between metric or imperial measurements with one click.
Selecting the scale button will give you a list of over 100 commonly
used scales to choose from. All major model building scales are
included, common architectural and engineering drawing scales, model
train and toy scales, USGS map scales, and more. Even 1:1 if you really
just need a small ruler.
People who will find use for this are;
modelers, construction trades, anyone reading a map, trade show and
event planners, or entertainment production personnel. Basically anyone
who needs to measure anything in scale on a regular basis.
Scale Rule isn’t meant to be pretty, its designed to be a clean concise tool.
We
made this as accurate as we could, its not perfect and we know it.
There are physical limitations to the screen that limit how accurate we
could get. Use this for getting an estimate from a drawing or making
sure a piece will fit in with your train set. DO NOT use this as your
only scale measuring tool to build a highway overpass.
